About Sam
Sam Wertime is a director of Jefferson Park Forward. He has lived in Jefferson Park since 2007. Sam was drawn to the area because of the close proximity to transit, the North Branch Trail, and the opportunity to purchase a home. Sam’s vision for Jefferson Park is an economically vibrant, walkable community.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University and a Master of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His professional career involves providing research services to Kirkland & Ellis, a large law firm located downtown.
Sam’s interests and hobbies include public speaking, volunteering, politics, and history. He is president of his Toastmasters club and is a regular volunteer at Oliver’s Neighborhood Garden for the Hungry. He is also a member of the Chicago Association of Law Libraries Continuing Education Committee.
