We’re excited to announce that the Jefferson Park Working Group on Homelessness (WGOH) will become part of Bridging Jeff Park. WGOH was formed in September 2020 by community volunteers and leaders to bring much needed services and resources to our neighbors and create spaces for learning about the root causes of homelessness and housing insecurity.
As the work to bring essential housing and resources to Jefferson Park continues, WGOH must evolve to become the sustainable community resource it was always intended to be. Bridging Jeff Park will take the lead in nurturing our commitment to serve our unhoused neighbors. This includes, but is not limited to, the present and growing needs of the asylum seekers and other refugees whose numbers are growing in a city unprepared for them.
Bridging Jeff Park will also become the financial steward for these efforts. Over the past 3 years, your support has allowed us to invest in our neighbors, provide food, clothing, social service connections to those in need, and create meaningful educational opportunities for our community. We are grateful for your trust and support and we are confident that the good work we’ve started will continue with Bridging Jeff Park.
