Jefferson Park Forward Participates in Chicago Cubs Mural Dedication
Jefferson Park Forward is extremely proud and thankful to have artist Tony Passero in our community. He is noteworthy as the artist who has been working hard over the last few days to install a 12 foot by 50 foot acrylic on wood art installation celebrating the Chicago Cubs 2016 season. We are happy to dedicate the Chicago Cubs Mural to the Jefferson Park community. We love the mural and the way it is prominently situated in our community to the benefit of the thousands of residents who commute every day at the Jefferson Park Transit Center and who live and work in downtown Jefferson Park. Thank you, Tony, for this beautiful art piece. Go Cubs, go!
Role of Arts in the Community
JPF believes and is committed to the idea that art is an incredibly valuable tool for economic development. Because of the joy that art can bring, it also brings stimulation, conversation, even controversy. It makes a community vibrant and can help describe the soul of a community. We believe that businesses and residents are attracted to things like art that make a place unique in the world and are happy to support efforts like this around our community.
